Do you believe that cheap skin care products are poor quality skin care products? If so then keep reading, you might be surprised. Cheap skin care products can in fact be the best you can get.

The anti-aging and skin care industry is a huge one, I’ve seen estimates of figures around $50 billion a year. So there’s a lot of money to be made in cosmetics and skin care products.

And aren’t some of them expensive? The big brand name companies certainly don’t offer any cheap skin care products in their anti-aging ranges.

Is it the case that the more you pay the better quality product you get or is it possible to pay less for your anti aging skin care and get better products?

Lets have a look at some of the factors involved.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the big brand name anti aging and skin care companies. You see their ads on the TV all the time, with big name celebrities promoting their products. You see their products on the shelves too, everywhere.

Those are two factors that ensure that their products are in fact some of the most expensive anti-aging products available. The marketing, and the distribution methods.

Because the saturation television marketing is extremely expensive, and those celebrities have to be paid big bucks too. All this goes on to the top of the product price as it all has to be paid for.

Then of course they can afford to keep the price high, because they’re paying a lot for the marketing so everyone knows their name, so they can price their products higher because – everyone knows their name. And everyone assumed the products must be good because – everyone knows their name.

And because those anti-aging skincare products are sold through well known department stores there is an extra layer of distribution costs involved, because all those retailers want their pound of flesh too.

And then of course there’s the manufacturing costs. Many big name companies do not manufacture their own products, they contract their manufacturing out to other manufacturing companies who also need to make their profits as well.

So all these add up to make sure that the big brand name products are very expensive, and of course the advertising supports all of this by trying to convince you that they need to be expensive as they are the best.

Would it surprise you to know that the most expensive skin care and anti-aging products are not in fact the best? In fact some do very little at all and some even have ingredients in them that are suspect to your health or even dangerous.

In a market like this it is very difficult for a small niche company to break into anti-aging skin care products and compete head to head with the big boys. It takes way too much money to do that.

So one company at least, that makes what are probably the finest skin care anti-aging products on the planet, competes very differently. And when you buy their anti-aging products you get cheap skin care products that are far from cheap quality, and are in fact some of the finest skin care you can get.

They manufacture their own products, which are put together entirely from natural ingredients, as customer safety is their highest priority. They don’t sell through retailers, to avoid the costs of extra margins on their products.

And they price their products very competitively and back their products up with a 100% money back guarantee. They do this because they offer skin care products cheaper than the big name companies, because they know their anti-aging products are so good that once they have a customer they have one for life, so they make their profit over time.

They do make cheap skin care products, but they are cheap in cost, not quality. In fact their products usually contain far more active ingredients than the ones you’re probably using now.

And they don’t do any TV or media advertising, so there is no celebrity to pay, and no massive marketing budget. They let their products, and word of mouth, do the selling.

It’s the only way to compete in a massive market with big players. Make sure you sell your skin care range cheaper than the big boys, make it the finest money can buy, make it safe and all natural and let your product quality do the talking.

But you’ve never heard of them I’ll bet. Because they’ve never been on TV.

It seems like every time you turn your head in a beauty shop or at your local pharmacy, you see creams and lotions, all having “botanical skin care” on their label. The same applies if you type “botanical skin care products” in the search box of a search engine on the internet.

The word “botanical” itself means plant-based. The question is: Do all of these products really consist of ingredients that come from plants? What are the things you should be looking out for, in order to convince yourself that a product is really what it says it is?

Being intrigued myself, I did a little bit of research on the subject. As a result, I came up with a couple of guidelines that I would like to share with you:

1. Some of these products which claim to be all natural, more often than not they contain some very harmful ingredients as well. Some of these are the following:

Mineral Oil: This is also known as liquid paraffin, paraffin wax and petrolatum. This is petroleum based and once applied, it may clog your pores, making your skin “suffocate”. As a result, it will make your skin dry and chapped and if you use it for a prolonged period, it will strip your skin of its natural oils. The simple reason why skin care companies keep using it, it’s because it is cheap!

Fragrances: It is true that almost all of us, when we are trying different cosmetic products we instinctively tend to smell them. The nicer it smells, the more attractive it is.

Being aware of this fact and in order to lure their prospective buyers, many skin care companies put in their own botanical skin care products different fragrances.

Well, based on scientific evidence, you should better stay away from products that contain any type of fragrance. Most of them come from ingredients that are known to be toxic or even worse, carcinogenic.

Parabens: In order to prolong their products’ shelf life and obviously to improve their own bottom line, many skin care companies use parabens. These are preservatives, which are not so innocent after all. Clinical studies have clearly linked them with serious health hazards ranging from allergic reactions to even cancer.

2. Another thing you should pay attention to is not only the type of active ingredients that are used, but also their quantity (or concentration volume).

You see, in order to have the desired results, each of the listed ingredients must have a high enough percentage volume. In reality, however, many skin care companies, for obvious financial reasons, do not put enough of the ingredients. Therefore, you end up frustrated and disappointed, feeling you have wasted your money on a product which in the end does not live up to your expectations.

So, the next time you look at the list of ingredients of a botanical skin care product, make sure that you look at their percentage volume as well. As a rule of thumb, the total concentration of active ingredients should be at least 50% of the volume.

The new year is fast approaching. It’s time to break old beauty habits. It’s out with the old parched, uneven and blotchy skin, and in with a radiant healthy glow that reflects serious skin care.

Today’s women who are on-the-go and juggle many responsibilities and activities tend to think that bad skin is but a petty downside to a full life. Anyhow, skin problems are things that can be fixed with beauty creams or the latest cosmetic procedures. Fabulous skin is the latest “it” accessory, and many women know they can either turn back the clock or embrace aging in a liberating kind of way.

How does one go about achieving better-looking skin, then? It is not enough to stash into your vanity kit the latest celebrity-endorsed skin care product line. Life on the fast lane, which demands much of your time and energy, calls for some serious skin care options that have earned the nod of approval of beauty experts. Whether it’s the effects of natural skin aging or the skin-aggravating impact of environmental factors like pollution that you are trying to counteract, you can efficiently manage the haste and degree of skin aging with proper care and the right attitude.

Some topical treatments may do the trick for those with small skin problems, but for those who require more intensive or serious skin care remedies to unsightly skin conditions, there are new innovations now that work deep the skin surface and do a total reconstruction – the non-invasive way.

Many skin care companies love to call their products revolutionary, but don’t be duped into believing without first checking out the facts – and the ingredients. Using skin care products formulated with all-natural ingredients is akin to quenching thirsty skin and breathing new life into it. Serious skin care innovations with powerful antioxidants pack a wallop because they are capable of destroying harmful free radicals (the culprit that triggers skin sagging and wrinkling). Plant-based anti-aging aloe vera permeates the skin more swiftly than water and facilitates the quick regeneration of skin cells. Noted for its moisturizing properties, aloe vera is nowadays found in most hair and skin care products.

Another ideal natural skin enhancer is honey, whose moisture-retaining and natural antioxidant properties make it an ideal skin revitalizer. When considering which serious skin care treatment to go for, some people choose gentle methods that are easy to administer, like a fruit acid peel that utilizes alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) sourced from fruits. One fruit acid peel that derives its skin-enhancing power from active enzymes found in a cocktail of fruits that include papaya, honey, strawberry and guava delivers a super fresh glow to skin of all ski types, at a reasonable cost.

Serious skin care solutions may also come in the form of quality dietary supplements. Keep your circulation normal with the B vitamins, and feed your skin essential vitamins A, C, E as well Opt for the superfoods laden with these antioxidants, but if today’s mobile society prevents you from obtaining these from the actual food, go for premium quality natural supplements.
